Lemon Turnover from a Brooklyn bakery

I find it hard to resist lemon filling.

The trouble is always finding pastries with real lemon custard rather than the artificial, chemical flavor lemon. The ideal is a combination of sweet and tart, which this pastry filled. It was heavy too, like a brick in your hand. I probably would have been satisfied with half.
