Experimenting with unexpected Asian bakery products, I sampled this lemon bun.
The first thing I realized after ordering a lemon bun was that it look more like a lemon cake baked in a mini pie shell.
The bun had the consistency of cornbread but with a sweet, lemon flavor to it. Overall, it wasn’t bad. It didn’t leave a bad flavor in my mouth or make me regret eating it. But it was mostly disappointing given the expectations promised by the beautiful golden cake.
